Since he was a child, he has lived a life of ceramic art around him as a matter of course. After graduating from junior high school, he started working at a pottery factory, where he taught himself the technique of pottery, and Mino Momoyama pottery (pottery used for tea ceremony made in Mino. Being fascinated by the four types of "Shino" and "Oribe"), he also started his research. He became independent in 1970 while continuing his research. After that, he won numerous awards and was designated as a Tajimi City Intangible Cultural Property Technology Holder in 1995 because this technology left a great achievement. In 2003, he was certified as an important intangible cultural property holder in Gifu prefecture. About Toshisada Wakao's style The biggest feature is probably the work produced by [Shino] who expressed his Mino Momoyama pottery to the fullest, completed Shino and Momoshino as a result of continuing to hone his own skills. Based on the tradition of Mino Momoyama pottery, he is a beautiful and glittering thing that is rich in elegance, and he has mastered the unique technique created by combining the delicate firing technique in addition to the method of glazing the demon board. In the world of Shino-yaki, where it is difficult to express a clear difference unlike painting, Toshisada Wakao's work has a unique personality, but although it has a very strong personality, it does not overstate it, and it is finished as a good work. It is also one of the features. Wakao Tosada's current evaluation and value He is a famous ceramic artist who is proud of Gifu prefecture. Since he is an existing artist, the evaluation has not been decided sufficiently, so we will propose the purchase price based on the market evaluation at the time of inquiry. Toshisada Wakao's work is also used in the world of tea ceremony, and the writing of the Iemoto will further increase the monetary evaluation. He has produced many works such as teacups, flower bowls, teacups, and teacups, but the one with the highest evaluation is probably the [teacup]. His purchase price varies from tens of thousands of yen to over 100,000 yen. Ultimately, we will propose the purchase price in consideration of the scenery and condition of his work. As is common to Japanese potters, the evaluation will drop significantly if there is no co-box (a wooden box with a signature and title written by the artist).
