[Ogawa Choraku II]
Following the death of his father, the first Choraku, in 1936, he took on the name of Ogawa Choraku II. He has been faithful to the family business and has focused on producing Raku ware tea bowls, and has demonstrated high skill in both red and black Raku ware, earning him the trust of the Senke family. After the death of the first Choraku in 1939, he was given the name "Keiun" by Master Eigawa of Kenninji Temple. In addition to his family business, he has also worked hard to develop local pottery culture, including serving as a permanent director of the Kyoto Kiyomizu Ware Association. Currently, the third generation is producing pottery in Yamashina, Kyoto, inheriting the traditional techniques.▼Product size
